With accommodation and picturesque sunset bar/restaurant offering stunning views of Anilao, Sombrero, Ligpo Island and a wide, wide horizon. World class reef, wall and macro dives are available within only a few fin strokes of the shore, along with a chance of pelagic encounters with manta, whale sharks and thresher sharks along the edge of the deep-water drop off. So there is little need for time consuming and expensive boat trips! However, we do also provide a dive boat for excursions to popular sites around Batangas and Anilao. Shore diving sites are all within a few metres of the dive centre, with depths ranging from 3m to 100m+ A residential PADI, BSAC, SSI and DSAT Instructor means that you can choose to develop your underwater skills in any area. In addition, our 2 long-serving Divemasters together possess nearly 30 years experience in diving these waters. A depth of 72m has now been reached, revealing that the sandy slope actually 'terraces' with several small walls on the descent. No new pinnacles or species seen yet at the deeper depths. A wicked little Black Frogfish, small enough to fit into your hand, found at 16m on the reef ;) Whale Shark spotted alongside the 'Lingpo Cave' during January. www.ecotravellers.multiply.com Welcome fellow travellers! The main goals of this project are: - To conserve the nature reserve, its diverse ecosystem and its wildlife through tourism; - To reduce the exploitation of natural resources such as dynamite fishing, spearfishing,pollution by educating the local people and creating alternative livelihood/income opportunities; - To raise funds for infrastructure, divesite management, maintenance and improvement of divesites facilities; - To create general public awareness on Marine Endangered Species and their contribution to tourism industry, the importance and benefits of waste management, environtmental friendly fishing method, recycling,composting using renewable energy for lights and water heating; -. Achievements so far Furthermore, the money you spent on Sanctuary fees (which allows you to enter the reserve/dive sites) contributes to the conservation of the underwater marine life and coastal areas . Therefore, you money is well spent: you are participating in the development of rural communities and conservation of Balayan Bay/San Pablo/Locloc Dive Sites.
